Paris and I focus our efforts in providing Law Enforcement and Fire Department personnel with the absolute best that Real Estate has to offer. Having said that, I am pondering the question, if those from these industries have different needs from the general public?
Oath Takers: Law Enforcement and Fire Department men and women, are to keep their private life unsullied. Free from criminal activity or association with anyone from that environment. In fact to have a friend that has been convicted of a Felony crime, even though a long time ago, is something that can reap discipline and is not to be done according to the rule book. Men and women from the private sector - are not in a position to take oath's rendering supreme the Constitution of the United States and adherence to the values that it sets forth.
Truth Seekers: Cops and Firemen start the job being lied to. From the first point we enter either the jails, streets, or that first car crash. We are being lied to. Here are some examples: "No, I have not gotten my meds.." "That is not mine...", "I haven't been drinking anything...". So it has been said by others in our industry that focusing on these "Human Liar Detectors" is pure suicide. With what I have seen, that might be true for someone that is not cut from the same metal as these men and women that protect and serve.
Protectors: During their shifts, whether on 8's, 10's, 12's, or 24's or 48's, there is a lot to be said about the company you keep. There are few other professions that have you spending that much time with others. In direct contact with another human being "partner or partners" for these long periods of time. So the bond that is created is far and above anything that happens in private sector work. You learn to trust your life in the hands of the person that you are sitting next to for that shift, hour after hour, day after day, week after week and so on. You will do everything as long as there is life in your veins to save your partner from harm.
Civil Servants: Here is a twist. Instead of being in it for themselves. They are in it for the good of humanity. They have split seconds to make life changing decisions. Decisions that will be able to be looked at over the weeks that follow, slowly by people that hold sheep skins from the best of the best educational venue's that this country has to offer. Police Officers, Deputy Sheriff's and Fire Fighters, never look at the risk. That is something that is not seen by them. For it were, there would not be anyone in these noble professions.
I serve those I worked along side with for the past 17 years. I protect the Real Estate Interests of the men and women that I continue to operate as a Reserve with. Paris and I thank all of those that have chosen us to protect and serve their Real Estate Needs.
Back to my original question. I think everyone deserves to have the best that the Protection of 911 has to offer. Whether being private sector of Law Enforcement - don't we?
IT IS TRULY AN HONOR.
