What a fantastic opportunity to spoil yourself rotten. It only takes practice, determination and the will of merely wanting to be spoiled.
Whatever happened to self-discipline and control? I love the excuses, "I can't, its too hard, i'm trying, they won't let me, he or she won't let me, i'm too tired, I'm too fat, I'm too sick, I'm too depressed..." And the list goes on and on.
Stand up and pull yourself up by the boot straps. Most of the prisoners in Super-Max prisons around the world, during their psychological screening and testing sessions seem to show some commonility that was lacking from their childhood. The "control" aspect. They most seemed to have missed some "parental" figure that enforced control over their actions. "Their" being the now super-max prisoner.
What about yourself. Addicted to food, nicotine, laziness's, depression, being co-dependent, obsessive/compulsive... Whatever you ailment, you need to start to spoil yourself rotten. You do that by exhibiting control over yourself on a very basic level. DO NOT EVER BELIEVE YOU CANNOT DO SOMETHING.
It seems to be the a lie that has been perpetuated since the beginning, we need someone else's or something's help to get control over our lives, smoking, eating, working out, family, marriage, the list goes on and on.
I can stop smoking (I did), I can quit binge and emotional eating (worked for me). I can do crazy and fun workouts (still getting crazier). IF I CAN - YOU CAN ALSO.
There is something to be said about the warmness and self-confidence that if felt by being able to say no. Being able to say, hey I don't have to give in to some sort of psychological or physical dependence, I can choose not to do "fill in the blank". When you do this simple act, you truly spoil yourself.
You should want to be the most spoiled person in existence!!!!
